Swedish technical death metallers SOREPTION entered Sidelake Studios on January 3 to begin recording their full-length debut, "Deterioration of Minds", for a tentative summer release. Video footage of the vocal-recording sessions at Blue Oyster Studios in Sundsvall, Sweden with producer Tommy Rehn from ANGTORIA can be viewed below.

SOREPTION's debut MCD/DVD release, "Illuminate the Excessive", was issued in June 2008 via Cube 1 Records. The effort was recorded, mixed and produced at Sidelake Studios by Tommy and Chris Rehn from ANGTORIA. The CD also features artwork by Chris Rehn.
Formed in 2005, SOREPTION specializes in "technically and artistically advanced riffs topped with in-your-face brutal vocals," according to a press release. "These twenty-year old guys perform their songs quickly, brutally and highly technical with musicality and finesse. A very unusual combination especially for a band as young as SOREPTION."
