Swedish technical death metallers SOREPTION will enter Sidelake Studios on January 3, 2009 to begin recording their full-length debut for a tentative late spring release.
SOREPTION's debut MCD/DVD release, "Illuminate the Excessive", was issued on June 23 via Cube 1 Records. The effort was recorded, mixed and produced at Sidelake Studios by Tommy and Chris Rehn from ANGTORIA. The CD also features artwork by Chris Rehn.
Formed in 2005, SOREPTION specializes in "technically and artistically advanced riffs topped with in-your-face brutal vocals," according to a press release. "These twenty-year old guys perform their songs quickly, brutally and highly technical with musicality and finesse. A very unusual combination especially for a band as young as SOREPTION."
